Description:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practitioner to join their team, fulfilling a crucial role as an Advanced Practitioner. This role entails providing professional leadership in the delivery of Children’s Statutory services across Dorset, serving as a pivotal member of the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the integration of national, regional, and international best practices into operational delivery to enhance outcomes for children, young people, and their families
Collaborate with the Principal Social Worker and training institutions to develop and implement programs aimed at revitalising social work practices
Offer expert guidance in managing complex case management issues, including child sexual exploitation investigations and court proceedings
Provide expert assessments for court proceedings through the Family Assessment Specialist team
Support managers in enhancing the quality of reflective supervision for social workers and relevant staff through evaluation and training
Manage social work caseloads effectively to ensure timely and appropriate support for children and young people
Attend court proceedings and relevant meetings, chairing when necessary or providing support to social workers
Lead recruitment processes alongside operational managers and participate in audits to ensure compliance and quality assurance
Identify and address common training needs across the Children’s Directorate through induction processes and joint training initiatives
Stay abreast of relevant legislation, research, and best practices to deliver comprehensive training and support across the Children’s Directorate
Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in all aspects of workRequirements:

Diploma in Social Work/Certificate of Qualification in Social Work
Post-qualifying Award/Practice Educator/Further evidence of continuous professional development
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant statutory legislation, policies, and procedures
Excellent communication, negotiation, and assessment skills
Ability to work within deadlines, set targets, and collaborate effectively within a team structure
Capacity to provide clear, concise, and constructive advice on complex cases to team members
