Akton recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for an experienced Mental Health Social Worker needed for Speedwell Community Mental Health Centre to start as soon as possible please.
Based a stone's throw from the bustling Deptford High Street, with excellent public transport links and accessible parking, this position offers hybrid working and the opportunity to engage with our diverse and vibrant local community.
The successful candidate will have:
- experience of adult mental health casework in a community mental health setting
- strong assessment and engagement skills
- knowledge of clinical and social issues and the management of risk in relation to mental health service-users
- experience of working within the statutory framework of the CA 2014, MHA 1983 and MCA 2005.
- the ability to manage a caseload in an integrated multi-disciplinary service undertaking longer-term casework and care coordination.
- experience of carrying out a range of assessments and interventions including adult safeguarding.
Experience
Has at least 1 years pre or post qualification experience working in social care or social work with adult service users with mental ill health.
Experience of working with service users who have complex needs that require frequent interventions to support their changing needs.
Some experience of working in the context of adult safeguarding and the management of risk.
Experience working with service users who are "difficult to reach" who have been socially excluded.
Experience working with service users and their families where there is an extensive breadth/depth of need and economic deprivation.
Experience of working with service users and advocates where the service user does not have mental capacity
