Vetro Recruitment is seeking compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic Learning Disability Support Workers to join a specialist service in Pontyclun supporting adults with learning disabilities across residential, supported living and day services.

The Learning Disability Support Worker role in Pontyclun offers a rewarding opportunity to help individuals develop independence, wellbeing and confidence, while making sure care is delivered with dignity and respect.

Key Responsibilities

* Support individuals with daily tasks including cooking, cleaning, personal care and attending appointments

* Promote independence and encourage the development of life skills

* Build positive relationships with service users, families and the wider team

* Support engaging activities, including walks, games, music sessions and arts and crafts

* Support emotional wellbeing, helping individuals achieve personal goals

* Ensure the safety, dignity and wellbeing of individuals at all times

* Observe, monitor and accurately record residents’ conditions

Requirements

* At least 6 months’ experience working in a social care setting

* A current Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

* The right to work in the UK

* Ability to work above 24 hours per week

* A full driver’s licence is essential for supporting residents in the community
