Recruitment Hunters are recruiting an experienced University Admissions And Academic Administration Manager - covering Admissions, Registry & Enrolment management for their Higher Education creative client based in London.

The Academic Manager position is available on a 1-year, Fixed Term Contract, proposed start date in June 2024.

The role is a unique position that requires an experienced person to lead on a mixture of Higher Education services including Admissions, Student Enrolment, Student Finance, Academic Registry & Events.

Handling the admissions functions from first point of contact by prospective students, through interview & feedback, up to and including student enrolment. This includes providing support to international students, including the completion of student visa applications. Handling registry services in relation to attending students, coordinating all aspects of tuition fee invoicing and collection, student financing, scholarships and bursaries, awards and academic transcripts.

Key purpose of the role; Admissions & Academic Administration Manager

Enrolment and Registration

Manage the student enrolment and registration process.
Manage the collection of all required student information and documentation for internal and external data and compliance requirements.Policies and Procedures

Ensure all agreed Admissions and Registry policies and procedures are implemented effectively.
Working with the Principal to regularly review these policies and procedures for statutory and best practice compliance.Recruitment and Admissions

Manage the delivery of effective recruitment and admissions processes
Manage and closely monitor the processing of applications for all programmes
Manage the admissions database, overseeing all student recruitment and admissions data.
Assist and advise academic and administrative staff in making admissions decisions
Manage and ensure friendly and efficient support on recruitment and interview/audition days.
Oversee the planning and organisation of events.
Manage the collation of interview assessments and issuing of offers and other post-audition communications.
Manage the candidate reserve list & manage the collation of application and recruitment data Awards Administration

Manage the administration of the Universities creative Awards scheme, including, income assessments for continuing students, organisation of data and communication to students.
Manage and maintain records of internal and external scholarships and bursaries & support students applying for and in receipt of scholarships and bursaries
Oversee the timely administration of maintenance payments to students in receipt of maintenance bursaries.
Lead on the organisation of graduation ceremonies & manage the confirmation of awards.Registry Services

Manage student visa applications -Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) numbers, and advising prospective international students on visa requirements.
Ensure compliance with all UKVI regulations.
Lead on the preparation of data and compliance returns to the Student Loan Company, ESFA (DaDA), UKVI and TfL (student Oyster cards).
Support the Principal in the preparation of compliance returns to the Office for Students (OfS), HESA, UEA and Trinity.Finance

Manage fee assessments and preparation of invoices on an annual basis.
Undertake the role of 'credit controller' to ensure all fee payments are received by due dates, oversea liaison with the finance team. Systems, Data Management and Quality Assurance

Support the development and maintenance of systems for collecting and analysing statistical data.
Ensure that all admissions and registry data is collected, collated and distributed efficiently.Other Duties

Line management of 2 members of staff in the Admissions & Registry team, providing professional and pastoral support as necessary & any other duties as may be reasonably required.Education and Skills - Admissions & Academic Manager - Admissions, Registry, Enrolment

Education - Educated to degree level or beyond (Essential)

Experience

5 years experience in Academic Administration, Registry, Admissions or Equivalent Higher Education Academic experience at a management level.(Essential)
5 years + experience working in the Higher Education sector. (Essential)
3-5 years Management experience - Management should be part of your current or most recent position. (Essential)
Excellent organisational, Multi-tasking and problem-solving experience who can demonstrate handling a mixture of HE functions.This is a 1-year FTC hybrid role, 3days office 2days remote in London. The salary will be £35,000 inc Benefits. The proposed start date for this role will be June 2024 & you should currently live within a commutable distance to London.
