Administrator

Set up in 2011, Synoptix is rapidly becoming recognised as one of the UK’s most capable suppliers of systems engineering expertise and know-how. We have built up an enviable customer base in defence and aerospace and are now seeking to extend our presence and influence in the rail and public utility sectors – all of which are showing a growing appetite for the type of rigorous system engineering we advocate.

We contribute to some of the foremost engineering projects in the UK, typically supporting large and complex engineering programmes through the application of systems engineering principles. Some of our key projects include support to various submarine programmes, adaptive camouflage for the British Army, Architectural support on Typhoon and F-35 platforms, cyber security support to EW systems. Our customers benefit from lean delivery of agile projects, utilising best practices developed across a range of industries.

The Role:

Synoptix has a need for an Administrator to support ongoing activity within the business. After a period of significant growth, the operations team are looking to grow the team to meet the needs placed upon them.

15 hours per week may increase in time – can be over 3-4 days to suit – start time flexible
Hybrid working – office based to start to get up to speed with things
Tasks – full training will be given:

General office duties to include:

Support for small purchases – including monitoring office supplies and ordering.
Recording transactions and maintenance of any relevant spreadsheets and internal drives.
Assisting with health and safety duties.
Assisting with site security duties.
General office duties – including general cover for Office Manager
Accounts duties to include:

Allocate supplier remittances on Xero – no experience required training will be given.
Update monthly time recording spreadsheet and monthly invoice back up preparation.
Process of internal Travel and subsistence claims.
HR admin:

New starter documents, setting upon HR systems.
Preparation of documentation
Internal Tracker updates
HR reports
