Administrator (Contract)
Location: Office-based - Bishopton, PA7 5QD
Contract Length: 3 Months
Hours: Full-time (open to part-time working - 3 days per week)
Arrangement: Office Based
Rate: £14.15 PAYE / £18.17 Umbrella

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Administrator to support an Engineering team by managing a broad range of administrative and coordination duties. This role will play a key part in improving team efficiency by allowing engineers to remain focused on design and technical delivery, removing approximately 4-5 hours of administrative workload from their daily schedules.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and highly organised individual who can quickly integrate into a busy team environment and make an immediate impact with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

·Accurately record and distribute meeting minutes, ensuring discussions, decisions, and actions are clearly documented
·Arrange meetings, workshops, and site visits
·Maintain detailed and organised records to support project tracking and provide audit trails where required
·Quality check (QA) documentation, registrations, and records for completeness and accuracy
·Ensure all project and administrative information is correctly recorded and distributed
·Support onboarding activities, including carrying out site inductions for new starters
·Welcome clients, contractors, and visitors to site, manage sign-ins, and act as a central point of contact within the office
·Manage office-related tasks such as ordering PPE, office supplies, milk, and other essential items
·Liaise with IT support regarding technical issues and printer maintenance
·Coordinate office equipment calibration, certification, and PAT testing
·Prepare recurring reports and maintain filing systems
·Support general office maintenance and liaise with office cleaning companies and site security
·Provide reliable day-to-day administrative support and act as a "go-to" person across the team

Requirements

·Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within an engineering, construction, or technical environment
·Strong attention to detail, particularly in note-taking, QA checking, and record-keeping
·Excellent organisational and communication skills
·Ability to quickly understand processes and integrate into a fast-paced team
·Proactive and adaptable approach, with the confidence to take ownership of tasks
·Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
·Experience with QA systems or document control processes would be advantageous

Contract Details

·Immediate start available
·Office-based role with attendance required
·Open to both full-time and part-time applicants
·Initial 3-month contract with potential for extension
