TeacherActive is excited to be working with an inner city Primary School located in Newport. The school aims to provide a positive ethos and strive to create a happy, safe, secure and stimulating learning environment in which all members of the school community can develop skills while taking ownership of their learning journey. The school are highly rated for their modern facilities and useful materials that are in place to support their pupils. From the school’s Estyn inspection, their quality of teaching was rated as ‘excellent’ across the school and it was evident that the Teachers and Learning Support Assistants work ‘effectively’ as a team to enrich pupils’ learning.

The Primary School are looking to take on a friendly, approachable and experienced Administrator to be the first port of call for their lovely school. The successful applicant must have previous experience working within an administration role and having experience with SIMS is highly desirable. The contract is for 2 days a week on Monday and Friday and will be a long term placement for the full academic year so you have guaranteed work until July 2025!

The successful Administrator will have the following skills:

At least 6 months experience within an administrative role
SIMS experience (desirable but not required)
A bubbly and charismatic personality
Dealing with school meals administration, ordering stationary, paying invoices, printing and photocopying.
Data management
Accounting and finance knowledge
