Job Title:         Administration Assistant/Receptionist

Location:         Brookthorpe Hall School, Gloucester

Salary:            Up to £21,000.00 per annum dependant on experience

Hours:             40 hours per week, Monday to Friday​ 8.30am - 4.30pm

Contract:         Permanent, Term Time Only

We’re looking for an Administrator to join our team at Brookthorpe Hall School. Someone who is motivated by helping others, patient and resilient would be perfect for this role.

About the role

To deliver a professional, efficient and effective administration service to the School, and ensure that the School’s safeguarding and health and safety procedures in relation to people entering and exiting the School building are implemented at all times. 

As part of the team, you will assist in managing the financial operations of the site, and will provide administrative and clerical functions for the school and its staff, ensuring that the services are provided in an efficient, effective and timely way and in compliance with the requirements of the group and the school senior leadership team.

Brookthorpe Hall School wants a responsible, friendly and thoughtful individual who has a passion for caring for and ultimately, making a difference to young lives. You will ideally understand some of the challenges that you could be faced with as it will be a challenging yet rewarding role.

We need someone who can work well within a team, has great communication skills, can manage their workload and be prepared for the varying difficulties the role may present. You also must have a Grade C or above GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths and have some experience in an Education Setting or with Special educational needs pupils is highly desirable.

Brookthorpe Hall School is a specialist provision providing full-time specialised co-education for young people aged 7 to 16 with a range of complex needs, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviour. This may include social, emotional and mental health needs and also pupils who have been diagnosed with autism or demonstrate behaviours associated with autism.

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
