About the School - North Bridge House Nursery and Pre-Prep West Hampstead

Situated in the heart of West Hampstead, and placed between West Hampstead and Kilburn stations, North Bridge House Nursery and Pre-Prep West Hampstead is the newest addition to the already well-established group of North Bridge House Schools in North London, having opened to our first cohort in September 2020. Our school provides a stimulating yet homely environment to pupils aged 2-7 with a strong focus on pastoral care and excellent academic outcomes.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administration Assistant to join our fantastic team. Working hours: 08:45 - 17:45 Monday to Friday during school time and 9:00 to 16:00 during school break.

About the role

Our administrator is the first point of contact for parents and visitors, so a friendly and welcoming manner is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

We welcome applications from those with appropriate independent or maintained sector administrative experience, including nursery and primary schools. This incredibly varied and busy role requires you to have the ability to manage various tasks as well as providing support to staff, pupils, parents and to various departments within the organization and you will carry out a wide and varied range of administrative duties including reception duties as required. The role is based in the school reception/office area which is a busy and lively working environment. A high level of computer literacy is essential.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following;

* Run the School reception and office, supporting the senior leadership team, teaching staff, pupils and parents, ensuring the smooth running of the administration aspects of the school.

* Monitor the attendance of pupils and will follow up all absences in a timely fashion.

* After School Clubs, Tea and Breakfast Clubs and Holiday Camp – manage club bookings, liaise with parents accordingly and create offers using our School App.

* Orders – Ensure that paper and photocopy ink is ordered for the whole school in addition to any office stationery required. Track the order process, ensuring that deliveries are swiftly delivered to the recipient

Who we are looking for:

To be considered for this role you will have previous experience as a school administrator and must be confident working in a fast-paced environment. We would also expect:

* Must be able to answer the phone is a respectable manor

* Carry out data tasks to a high level

* Outstanding interpersonal skills are a must as is an ability to communicate effectively in both the written and verbal form.

* Positive and willing to learn attitude
