Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. HMCTS provides administrative support for the legal system across England and Wales, ensuring justice works for everyone.

Admin Officer

We are currently recruiting for an Admin Officer to work with one of our fantastic Public Sector clients in Leamington CV32

This a 3-month temporary position initially, with good chance of extension but one in which you would be able to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.

If you have worked within the public sector before this would be advantageous but not essential. If you have transferable experience, then we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities and duties;
Prepare courts for sitting fill water bottles; ensure clean glasses are available, paper for Adjudicator etc.
Wash and tidy away glasses at the end of the court sitting. Liaise with Adjudicator and Court Section.
Obtain names of all parties and complete front sheets with court results. Swear in witnesses as appropriate.
Travel to satellite courts on occasion subject to business needs.
Photocopy any documents required by the court.
Ensure the smooth running of the courts.
Comply with office standards eg timekeeping, dress code.
Provide assistance in the post room or elsewhere in the office as and when required.

" Treats all colleagues fairly and is sensitive to their needs as individuals.

Candidate requirements:
Have previous experience within an administration role (preferable)
Have good IT skills
Be able to remain calm under pressure
Be able to work with very confidential and sensitive information
Be able to provide 3 years of referencing and pass a basic DBS check

Standard hours are 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Pay rate of £11.59 per hour for the first 12 weeks, then increasing to £11.88 per hour, which is paid weekly.
