We are looking for Admin Assistants to work with one of our public sector clients in the Operations Directorate team***
This will be a hybrid working role, however you would be expected to attend the office based in Glasgow, G5, for the first month's training.
This a 9 month temporary position (with a possibility of extension) but one in which you would be able to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.
37 hours per week between 9.00am - 5.00pm Mon - Fri (Can be flexible from 7.00am - 7.00pm)
Pay rate £11.44 per hour
Administrative Assistants will be responsible for a range of administration tasks that support teams to provide compensation to victims of violent crime or provide support to other functions within the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.
Working as part of a flexible team, Administrative Assistants will be expected to undertake a range of the responsibilities, activities and duties specified.
Responsibilities, Activities and Duties:
" Scanning, filing and uploading evidence
" Processing evidence received on CD and portable media
" Maintaining compensation claims, recording receipt of mail and issuing replies
" Processing acceptance forms
" Maintaining log files for returned mail, recorded delivery and mail volumes
" Ordering stationery
" Opening, collecting and distributing mail
" Completing courier requests supporting teams within CICA
" Iron Mountain - sending and receiving files from storage
" Light porter duties - includes handling boxed paper and trolleys, and sorting and batching mail
" Respond to written/telephone/email enquiries
" Post holders are required to work in a flexible way and undertake any other duties reasonably requested by line management which are commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post
Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
" Good organisational skills, with ability to self-manage and prioritise workloads
" Excellent team player
" Good IT skills, with experience of using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
