The salary for this permanent Acute Specialist Physiotherapist job is £35,392 - £42,618 per annum.

Main Duties:

Provide high-standard physiotherapy services across acute inpatient settings, including Emergency Department, Acute wards, and critical care.
Manage a caseload of patients with diverse diagnoses and complex needs, utilising evidence-based and patient-centered principles.
Serve as an expert resource on medical and surgical conditions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Support other disciplines, agencies, and carers through specialist knowledge development and educational contributions.
Act in the best interest of patients under care.
Conduct advanced physiotherapeutic assessments and develop individualized treatment programs.
Manage own caseload autonomously, with access to supervision and support as needed.
Participate in on-call and weekend duties, and mentor new staff.
Assist in student supervision, mentorship, and team performance management.
Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to enhance clinical practice.
Deputise for the Physiotherapy Team Leader in operational management.
Requirements of the Acute Specialist Physiotherapist:

Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy with HCPC Registration.
Relevant experience in acute wards within NHS services.
Continued Professional Development demonstrating ongoing learning and expertise.
Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and delegate tasks.
Excellent communication skills for patient interaction, interdisciplinary collaboration, and education.
Proficiency in IT for record-keeping and data management.
Ability to adapt to changing needs of the service and contribute to policy development.
