Up to £12.30 per hour

I am working with a privately owned group who run a 49 bedded care and nursing home in Edwinstowe which boasts high class facilities and beautiful landscaped gardens.

They are looking for someone to join their fantastic activities team, planning and providing activities for their residents.

In this job you will:

* Contribute to residents' well-being through thoughtful, personalised activities

* Provide support for residents facing confusion or behavioural challenges by employing effective person-centred distraction techniques and activity baskets

* Offer one-to-one comfort and companionship residents unable to participate in activities

* Ensure the activity calendar is uploaded to Facebook each week and is also visible around the home

* Ensure the monthly Newsletter is completed and is displayed around the home and posted onto social media

* Encourage and involve team members, relatives and friends in the home’s activities

* Fund Raising so that residents can enjoy additional social events

For this post you will need:

* Experience of planning and organising activities – previous experience in a similar role in a care home would be great

* The ability to be creative and enthusiastic

* Good time management skills

* Excellent communication skills

* Great computer skills

* The ability to work a minimum of 35 hours per week (5 out of 7 days, including at least two weekends days per month)

* A full UK driving licence and access to a car as this post is in a remote setting and must live with 20 minutes of home
