Our client, a well-established firm providing comprehensive accounting and financial services to businesses and individuals across various industries is seeking an Accounts Technician to join their expanding team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As an Accounts Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients and contributing to the success of our clients business.
Your Duties:
* Assist in the preparation and analysis of accounts and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
* Perform reconciliations of accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
* Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns for clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
* Assist with payroll processing and other related tasks as needed.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using specialised accounting software.
* Provide support to senior accounting staff and collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional service to clients.
* Assist clients with financial reporting and analysis, offering insights and recommendations to support their business objectives.
* Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, addressing their accounting-related inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
Your Profile:
* Third Level Qualification or Part Qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
* Professional certification as an Accounting Technician (AAT) or equivalent qualification preferred.
* Proven experience working as an accounting technician or in a similar role, preferably in an accounting firm or corporate environment.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation laws.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
