Accounts Tax Senior

Description:

We are looking for an Accounts and Tax Senior to join an accountancy practice client in Leicester.

The role will be to work with our clients and provide support predominantly with management accounts and year-end accounts. This is an opportunity for a driven and ambitious individual to flourish by gaining well-rounded compliance and advisory exposure.

An insight to the role:
· Produce an account working file.
· Clear arising queries with clients and produce a list of discussion points for the senior managers or partners.
· Liaise with HMRC, including compliance checks.
· Produce draft tax computations (for companies) and a provision for inclusion in the accounts.
· Seek opportunities to increase client billings and to seek new clients for the practice where possible.

We are looking for someone who has:
· Previous experience within an accounting firm.
· Previous mixed tax experience gained in a practice environment.
· Either ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified, however part qualified would be considered.
· Knowledge of Iris and Xero preferred, but not essential.
· Skills in Microsoft Excel and Word are essential.
· Experience of using cloud-based accountancy software.
· Good organisation and time management skills.

Study support is available for those who are part-qualified.

Salary for this role is up to £35,000 plus benefits.
