Hays are currently recruiting for a Temporary Accounts Receivable Assistant to join a highly respected business based in Darlington. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive finance team, develop your existing skills and gain exposure within a reputable organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing customer accounts and maintaining accurate records
Raising sales invoices and credit notes
Allocating incoming payments
Chasing outstanding debt and resolving payment queries
Reconciling customer accounts
Investigating and resolving discrepancies
Supporting month-end processes and reporting requirements
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customersAbout You:

Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable, Sales Ledger or Credit Control role
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Confident communicator with a proactive approach
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
French language skills would be highly advantageous, although not essential
