Description:

Our client a professional and well-established organisation based in Southend has a fantastic opportunity for a numerate individual who wants to progress their career in accounting. As Accounts Receivable Administrator you will get involved with the day-to-day accounting tasks within the Receivables division. This full-time permanent role requires you to have some accounts experience and ideally be studying for the AAT. Your daily duties will

* Posting cash daily, accurately and in a timely manner.

* Ensuring bank reconciliations are carried out and are always kept up to date.

* Review all unreconciled cashbook items and ensure they are dealt with promptly (within 5 days) Ensure all unidentified cash receipts are dealt with in accordance with the requirements.

* Deal with daily internal transfers.

* Get involved with month-end and client reporting processes as and when its required.

* Action the daily post (cheque/remittances).

* Daily Banking (taking cash/cheques to branch), Bank Interest (monthly) and review and clearing of cashiers and transfers inboxes.

You will

* A confident, pro-active, enthusiastic and flexible approach to work and own initiative.

* Strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy and numeracy.

* At least A’ Level educated in Maths and started studying for your AAT ideally.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)

* Team player with experience in working to deadlines.

* Ability to work under pressure, efficiently and in a timely manner.

* Good knowledge of Excel and Word, including (v-lookups and pivot tables).

* Some previous Accounts experience and awareness of general accounting procedures.
