They are looking for a Finance Assistant/Accounts payable Assistant with a solid background in finance, experience in handling both sales and purchase ledgers, and general finance administration. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a flexible approach to work. working Monday -Friday 9am - 5pm with an annual salary of £25k plus benefits.
Responsibilities:
* Raise client invoices and credit notes with PO numbers where appropriate, in both Euros and Sterling.
* Set up new supplier accounts.
* Receive, check, and process supplier invoices in both Euros and Sterling promptly, ensuring accurate coding.
* Process payment runs accurately and on time.
* Handle queries related to accounts receivable and payable.
* Manage simple accruals and prepayments.
* Oversee the accounts inbox.
* Support the finance team with various administrative tasks as needed.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Assist with audit preparation and provide necessary documentation.
* Participate in financial projects and initiatives as required.
Experience and Skills Required:

* Previous experience in a similar finance role.
* Proficiency in Excel and strong organisational skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional telephone manner.
* Calm and confident manner.
