Key Responsibilities:
Supervising the Accounts Payable staff to ensure efficient and effective operation.
Managing the closure of Accounts Payable month-end processes, ensuring timely deadlines are met each month.
Overseeing the management of payment runs, ensuring invoices are cleared and prepared for payment.
Liaising and dealing with creditors regarding payments and queries.
Reviewing and maintaining daily workflow to ensure SLA’s and on-time payment KPIs are met.
Ensuring governance around supplier statement reconciliations and the accuracy of the purchase ledger.
Overseeing new supplier setup and maintenance, including payment controls.
Managing staffing levels and workload within the Accounts Payable team to maintain high performance.
Ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained for systems and processes, with ongoing reviews to achieve best-in-class standards.
Providing support to the Accounts Payable Manager as required.
About You:
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures.
Direct experience in leading an Accounts Payable team.
Ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently.
Working knowledge of CIS.
High level of expertise in using Microsoft Office packages, including Excel and Word.
Proven ability to work to strict deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
