Description:

Join our client's dynamic and growing team as the Accounts Payable Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to be the go-to person for all things related to supplier invoices and payments, ensuring the accounts payable function runs smoothly and aligns with internal policies and procedures.

As the Accounts Payable Lead, you will have the flexibility to work mostly from home, with 1 day in the office per week. If being in the office more often suits you better, our client is flexible to accommodate that.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately process and approve supplier invoices.
Execute weekly settlement runs for supplier invoices and employee expenses.
Manage credit card programmes and ensure timely uploading of expenses.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly accounts payable procedures to support agreed SLAs.
Handle queries, disputes, and engage with stakeholders professionally.
Attend meetings across the organisation to resolve issues and promote reconciliation.
Provide analysis of creditor items and recommend process improvements.
Adhere to group accounting policies and procedures.
Support activities in other finance teams when required.
Act as the main point of contact for Operations/Suppliers, delivering efficient service.
Conduct colleague management duties, including coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
Maintain accurate process notes and ensure cross-training within the team.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of the Finance Ops inbox.
Comply with company and relevant standards/regulations, reporting risks.Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

Experience leading teams in a shared services function.
Experience in high-growth and change-oriented organisations.
Strong proficiency in handling purchase ledger functions and collaborating with stakeholders.
AAT qualified or equivalent, or extensive relevant experience.
Strong analytical skills and ability to drive process improvement.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
