Accounts Assistant

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Fareham. This role will primarily support the Accounts Payable function, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, supplier payments, reconciliations, and expenses, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the Accounts Payable ledger and supplier accounts.
Process and match invoices, resolving any discrepancies.
Prepare supplier payment runs.
Complete bank reconciliations.
Manage employee expenses and company credit cards via SAP Concur.
Respond to supplier and internal finance queries.
Support month-end activities and audit requirements.
Help identify and implement process improvements.
About You
Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Accounts Assistant role.
Experience with accounting software (Xero preferred).
Competent in Microsoft Excel.
Experience administering employee expenses and company credit cards.
SAP Concur experience is desirable.
Strong attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
