TPF Recruitment is proud to represent a rapidly growing firm of Accountants and business advisors based in Reading, currently looking to hire an Accounts & Outsourcing Manager. Key Responsibilities:

Manage the financial outsourcing for a portfolio of clients, including bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.

Ensure all monthly, quarterly, and year-end deliverables are completed to high-quality standards and deadlines are met.

Lead and develop a team of direct reports, managing performance, setting goals, and providing ongoing training.

Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed.

Onboard new clients, preparing proposals and engagement letters to ensure compliance.

Requirements

Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), ideally with 3 years post-qualification experience.

Proven experience managing and leading a team of 3 or more, including conducting one-to-one meetings and goal setting.

Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, including the production of statutory accounts under FRS 105 and 102, and consolidations.

Solid understanding of VAT principles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience with Xero, Dext, and CCH is a plus.

Excellent planning and organizational skills, with good decision-making abilities and adaptability to changing deliverables.

A team player who acts as a strong role model and helps all team members.

Ability to review juniors' work, provide constructive feedback, and help them understand basic principles.

Advise clients and the team on processing efficiencies.

Lead client meetings and discuss basic corporation and personal tax rules, including dividend planning.

Benefits

Salary Circa £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience and qualification status.
25 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing by one day per year of service up to a maximum of 30 days.
