Accounts Manager

up to £36k

I have a new opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a reputable Construction business in Cornwall.  The client work on local projects within Cornwall and Devon providing affordable local materials to the market.

Working within a busy office managing 2 members of the Accounts team and running the accounting function which is an important element of the business.

 What’s required:

Managing Payroll for all employees
Vat Returns & reports
Setting up new customer accounts
Organising new starters
Daily sales ledger
Payments to subcontractors and CIS returns
VAT returns
Resolve and payment queries
Processing large payments
Supporting and managing 2 members of the team
Skills and attributes needed:

Proven background in the housebuilding/construction sector in a similar role
Experience working within Accounts and ideally qualified at AAT level or higher
Confident managing others and can work to deadlines
Proative, motivated and organised
Experience using Sage software and ideally EQUE2, good knowledge of Excel and spreadsheets
