Are you experienced in processing a high volume of invoices? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? Working as the Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Lead, your benefits include 35 days holiday including Bank Holidays, company pension, life assurance and free car parking. Hours of work are 35 hours per week, working 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.
This is a new position that has been created working for a Construction company based in West Bromwich. You will be an essential part of the Accounts & Finance Team and will be responsible for assisting with a variety of day-to-day financial operations and month-end reconciliation and reporting.
Working as the Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Lead, your duties will include:
Being responsible for the purchase ledger invoice processing, dealing with up to 300 invoices daily
Dealing with the supplier statement reconciliation and payment processing
Maintaining the bank and visa reconciliation
Managing lease payments and accruals
Reconciling the nominal accounts
Dealing with the month-end reports (Sage & Contract Costing)
Dealing with invoice queries as and when required
Supporting with payroll as and when required
As the Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Lead, you will:
Possess previous experience working within a busy finance department, experienced in processing a high volume of purchase invoices
Have previous experience working within the Construction or Civil Engineering sector, however, this is not essential
Hold an Accounting, AAT/ACCA, or a Degree in Business Finance, however, this is not essential
You may have experience working as one of the following: Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger Supervisor, Accounts Supervisor, Finance Assistant, Finance Administrator, PL Clerk, Ledger Clerk, Finance Manager, Assistant Accountant or experienced working within a similar role dealing with a high volume of invoices.
As the Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Lead, your salary will be circa £30,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience plus a fantastic range of benefits
