Title: Accounts Assistant (Part Time)

Hourly rate: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour

Working hours: Monday - Thursday - 10:00am - 2pm (16 hours across 4 days, can be flexible on start & finish times)

Location: Ripley, Derbyshire

VH Talent is excited to be working in partnership with our client, a small family run business that operates internationally to appoint a part time Accounts Assistant.

The successful candidate will report into the Accounts Manager, providing support with Purchase Orders, Invoicing and Finance Administration. This role is a unique opportunity working with a great team, including their office dog!

The Accounts Assistant Role:

* Inputting of purchase invoices onto Sage

* Processing payment of purchase invoices onto Sage for the weekly payment run

* Matching receipts to the credit card statement

* Processing receipts onto Sage from the credit card statement

* Occasionally raising sales invoices

* Raising storage charge invoices

* Updating excel spreadsheets

* Processing weekly meal allowances on Sage (POA)

* Monthly supplier statement reconciliation

* Filing of invoices

* Processing of Holiday spreadsheet

* Covering some duties for Accounts Manager whilst their on annual leave

* Processing of sub-contractors invoices & logging them under the right project number

* Other ad hoc administrative duties to support the business as required

You’ll Need:

* Must be experienced in Microsoft packages including: Excel, Word and Outlook

* Proficient in Sage - experience of Sage Projects would be advantageous

* Excellent attention to detail and administrative experience

* Good customer service skills and comfortable with answering incoming calls

* Highly organised and adopts a pro active approach with the ability to use own initiative to drive tasks to completion and able to make decisions

* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask when needed

* During busier times, extra hours may be required to support the department and wider business
