Description:
We are well established Flooring Retail Business, specializing in supply wooden, laminate, vinyl floors and accessories to residential and business customers, as well as providing floor installation and renovation services. We are looking for reliable, organised, task motivated Accounts Assistant, who will be keen to learn and growth with the business.
This is a multitask role involved correct and accurate recording transactions in accounting software, various reconciliations, keep consistent and accurate records through all channels of sale and other admin support to smooth operation of the business.

Timely input of finance documents;
Accuracy of information entered;
Good levels of productivity in relation to volume and workload;
Learn & administer company procedures;
Continuous improvement/best practice.
DUTIES :
- Bank reconciliation
- Credit card reconciliations
- Process supplier invoices
- Reconcile supplier accounts and prepare payments schedule
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Support in Client billings. Ensure client invoices correctly recorded in accounting system.
- Contact clients as part of credit control procedures. Tactfully following up payment requests
- Work closely with sales team to maintain consistency in product prices across all sales channels ( website, eBay, shop).
- Maintain client's and supplier's records and ensure information stored in database are up to date.
- Maintain Fixed Assets Register
- Keep administrative files in good order.
- Expense receipts checking & processing in Sage 50.
- Other ad hoc assignments as arising.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential :
Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent approach to numeracy, following processes and financial procedures within bookkeeping.
A self starter with the ability to get the job done.
Good communication skills.
Ability to manage internal & external stakeholder requirements.
Attention to details and high level of accuracy.
Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively.
Desirable :
Previous accounting experience;
Sage Line 50 experience.
Qualifications :
AAT level 2 or higher
Ideally educated to graduate
A-Levels
Skills :
Intermediate Excel skills
