ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - TRANSPORT & DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS - WIMBORNE - CIRCA £25,000 PER ANNUM - PERMANENT POSITION

Carlton Young are a division of the EL8 Network, specialising in the recruitment of Accountancy & Finance professionals. The amalgamation of a highly experience recruiter and a chartered tax accountant, we have the skills and technical knowledge to identify and introduce you to the right positions.

We are working with a well-established distribution business, looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their small office team and help with the day-to-day management of the accounts process. The role will include:

* Dealing with sales invoices

* Managing purchase ledger

* Helping on credit control and chasing up late payments

* Monthly balance sheet reconciliation

* Daily banking

* Payroll

* General administration

The business need to be BRCGS compliant due to the nature of their business and they would ideally like someone who is aware and compliant of the required legislation on food safety. They are keen to find someone who:

* Has a minimum 2 years in an accounts assistant position

* Has studied AAT level 2 (or qualified by experience)

* Can work in a small team environment

* Has excellent attention to detail

* Can use Sage Accounts & Payroll system

* Is a confident communicator and able to liaise with staff and customers

The company are offering a starting salary of £25,000 for this role, working across Monday to Friday based at their office on the outskirts of Wimborne.

Due to the location of the offices, the successful applicant will need to be able to commute and having their own vehicle is highly recommended. Free parking is available on site.
