Mayday Personnel is pleased to be working with one of our long-standing clients which is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant.
The role is based on the outskirts of Southampton, and is a varied position, supporting the central Accounts team and their customers.
The role is full time, however part-time applicants can be considered (min 25 hours per week).
Key responsibilities:
* Posting and allocation of customer payments
* Reconciling unallocated payments
* Amending and monitoring credit limits
* Monitor general and personal email boxes in a timely manner
* Dealing with customer queries via email and phone
* Sending out monthly customer statements
* Sending copy invoices
* Credit control
* Setting up new customer accounts in line with company procedure
* Other ad hoc duties
The ideal Accounts Assistant:
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferable
* Familiarity with accounting systems within previous work experience
* Knowledge of Excel and Word
* Effective communicator
* Attention to detail
