The Opportunity

As an Accounts Associate, you will gain hands on experience across a variety of accountancy services, working closely with experienced professionals who will support your progression. This role is designed to give you a strong foundation in practice accounting and help you build the skills required to progress towards becoming a qualified accountant.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients
• Supporting with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with VAT returns and basic tax compliance work
• Preparing basic accounting computations for review by senior team members
• Liaising with clients and HMRC where required
• Gaining exposure to different areas of accountancy and developing your technical knowledge
• Working collaboratively with colleagues while also taking ownership of your own tasks

What We Are Looking For

This role would suit someone who is keen to build a long term career within accountancy and is looking for the right environment to develop. Whether you have recently completed an AAT qualification, are studying towards AAT, or have some previous experience within accounts, we would love to hear from you.
