Description:
Working with a client based in Stonehaven to recruit for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis. The client is a Group of companies with the main subsidiary being an industry leader in their field of fabrication & manufacturing within Oil & Gas. The company boasts an exceptionally stable cash flow and high financial turnover, and having never reported a loss in their history they can offer incredible job security and stability.
You will be joining an existing team of 5 finance staff and will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager. Working closely with 2 other Accounts Assistants you will be responsible for the assisting with the accounts across the groups multiple companies including:
* Purchase / Sales Ledger (bookkeeping) tasks including processing and recording invoices, payments and expenses.
* Maintain accurate P/S Ledger records.
* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure correct coding and invoice approval.
* Reconciliation and verification of supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies.
* Monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliation of accounts across the Group companies.
* Prepare and process payment runs
* Assisting with month-end closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
* Experience in payroll and Sage Line 50 are preferable but not essential.
To be successful in this role you will :
* Have solid understanding of general accounting processes and procedures
* Have experience in bookkeeping
* Be comfortable answering phones and handling with queries
Salary : up to £30,000 pa
