Accounts Assistant – Part-Time 3 Days a week 

Swavesey, Cambridgeshire

Are you passionate about finance and seeking a flexible part-time role? Z-Tech is looking for a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis, working three days a week. If you have a background in finance, excellent attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Role Summary:

As a Part-Time Accounts Assistant at Z-Tech, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our finance function. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for various tasks including timesheets and expenses, purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking, payroll, and additional administrative duties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist employees with timesheet queries and ensure accurate recording of expenses.
• Manage supplier invoices, reconcile statements, and process payments.
• Handle customer sales orders, raise invoices, and assist with credit control.
• Perform banking tasks including recording transactions and reconciling statements.
• Process weekly and monthly payroll, including pension contributions and tax payments.
• Provide support to the Financial Controller and Head of Finance as needed.
• Maintain spreadsheets and control accounts with meticulous attention to detail.

Experience & Qualifications:

• AAT Level 2 and above qualification.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data patterns.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

Interpersonal and Communication Skills:

• Outstanding interpersonal skills and customer service approach.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond promptly to unforeseen events and work autonomously or as part of a team.
