Accounts Assistant

Hybrid/Blackfriars

£40,000 per annum

Our client, a well-established organisation, is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic Finance team. If you have a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

Manage the Accounts Inbox for supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Download and save invoices onto the system
Code and input invoices using Rapport/Sage software
Maintain the Purchase Ledger and review Aged Creditors reports
Prepare payment runs when required
Handle bank and credit card postings on Sage, including necessary reconciliations
Provide ad-hoc accounting support to the Finance Team
Undertake petty cash withdrawals and reconciliations
Assist in payroll administration, including starters, leavers, and statutory payments/deductions
Administer the company's benefits package, such as cycle to work scheme and childcare vouchers
Coordinate with HR to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
Process and record statutory payments and deductions, such as SSP, SMP, SPP, and Shared Parental Pay
Assist in the preparation of annual P11d's and PSA's
Administer and coordinate expense cycles for verification and payment processing
Support the Finance team with monthly data analysis and reporting
Collaborate with the HR Director to ensure smooth payment of staff professional subscriptions
Prepare and reconcile pension journals for multiple locations
Input journals into Sage post payroll reconciliationRequired Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience with Sage and CRM software
Strong data entry and invoice coding skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Meticulous attention to detail
