Accounts Assistant

Our client, a highly successful organisation based in Marlow, is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their expanding team, based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. We are looking for a professional individual who will be able to provide a broad range of accounting duties and support the Director of Finance in preparation of the monthly management accounts.

A friendly, positive, and focused attitude is essential in all aspects of the role. This role would suit someone with a solid accounting background and previous accounting experience is required for this role.

£30k - £32k plus great benefits!

Key Responsibilities

Client Account Reconciliations (multi-currency)
Assist with reconciling bank accounts and balance sheet control accounts
Cash flow forecasting
Assist with VAT reconciliations and post journals for TOMS and margin schemes
Approve weekly payment runs and process ad hoc payments (GBP, Euro and USD)
Ensure any unallocated items are investigated proficiently and quickly
Assist with the production of monthly management accounts and month end duties
Manage credit control for the direct sales part of the business
Full responsibility for all accounting duties for 1 small subsidiary company
Create sales invoice for the retail team
Create and issue Purchase Orders to suppliers
Assist with procedure improvements and writing SOP'sIdeal Person

At least 5 years' worth of accounting experience (possessing AAT qualification would be an advantage but not essential)
Use of Sage 50 Accounting Software
Use of Xero Accounting Software
Intermediate excel skills (e.g Pivot tables)
Clear and confident communicator
Poses the ability to work to a high accuracy level and excellent attention to detail
Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a pro-active approach
Be able to work as part of a team.
