The Role

As the range of projects that we work on grow, so does our team! We're currently looking to hire an Accounts Assistant at our coastal office in Weymouth.

In this role, you will oversee the completion of accurate Management Accounts to deadlines, processing and paying invoices ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will:

* Support with General Ledger Accounting including Closing/opening of ledgers, calculation of accruals and prepayments.

* Prepare monthly Management accounts and reporting packages for UK lean entity. Providing explanations of figures to UK finance team.

* Agree intercompany creditor balances at month end.

* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for UK and other European entities.

* On a monthly basis, prepare cash flow projections for review by Financial Accountant.

* Participate in team projects on an adhoc basis.

* Assist with internal and external audit queries.

* Process purchase invoices using SAP ensuring accuracy, compliance and on time payment.

* Complete reconciliation to supplier statements.

* Generate BACS and foreign payment runs.

* Liaise with suppliers and other departments to resolve invoicing discrepancies

About You

We’re looking enthusiastic individual to join our team! A person who is comfortable working both individually and as part of a team.

You Will:

* Be studying towards professional Accounting Qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA or equivalent), or AAT, or QBE.

* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Be able to work to tight deadlines.

* Have a logical approach to problem solving, works methodically.

* Be able to influence and motivate people where no reporting lines exist.

* Possess strong communication skills. Able to converse and present data to all levels within the Organisation.

* Have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent to include English Language and Maths.

* Possess excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise, evidence of track record of working on own initiative and balancing own workload whilst supporting colleagues.

* Possess drive and enthusiasm while undertaking routine and complex tasks.

* Be able to build stable and useful working relationships.

* Have SAP experience (Desirable).

* Have hands on UK GAAP/IFRS account preparation (Desirable).

* Possess UK tax knowledge and experience of preparing tax packs (Desirable).
