We are delighted to be partnering with a leading engineering company as they seek to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This role has become available due to an internal promotion, and within the role you will report into the Financial Controller. This roles can be worked mostly remotely, with you ideally being based in the Cambridgeshire area to commute a few times a month and for onboarding purposes.
As the incoming Accounts Assistant, you will be trained up by the team, and then be responsible for the following responsibilities :
- Purchase invoice processing
- Preparation of supplier payments
- Processing of sales invoices
- Processing employee expenses
- Assisting with cash flow forecasting
- Additional ad hoc duties as required
As the successful candidate, you will be keen to continue a career in finance and ideally have some previous experience. Some data processing experience or early stage AAT exams would be considered advantageous too. You will need to be a confident and effective communicator, as your role will require you to liaise with customers and suppliers. You will also have strong IT literacy skills and be comfortable learning finance systems. You will also be keen to learn and develop further, and self motivated in your approach to work.
