Accounts Assistant - Job Description
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, your responsibility will be to assist with the day-to-day accounting functions listed below whilst also offering a flexible approach within a small friendly team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role and have knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts. You will possess a good telephone manner and confidence when chasing up overdue accounts.
Accounts Assistant - Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Sales Ledger
* Credit Control
* Purchase Ledger
* Supplier Payments
* Managing employee expenses and petty cash
* Daily bank reconciliation, including sales receipts, purchase payments and direct debits
* General office support including answering telephone calls
* Adhoc administration tasks as required
Accounts Assistant - The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a similar role, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent administrative skills
* High standard of communication, written and verbal
* Competence in excel, word, outlook
* Sage 50 accounts experience
* Ability to work as part of the team, undertake a variety of tasks and work to deadlines when required
* Reliable and dependable with a can-do positive attitude
