Full Time: 37.5 Hours Per Week

Hybrid Working (2 Days Remote, 3 Days Onsite)

Temporary Assignment Until 24 December 2026

Preferred Start Date: 14 September 2026

Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation seeking a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join its finance team on a temporary basis.

The Role

This is a varied accounting position offering responsibility across financial reporting, payroll accounting, lease accounting and month-end activities. You will work closely with finance stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, compliance and financial control.

Responsibilities

• Manage lease accounting activities and support quarterly audits

• Process payroll journals, reconciliations and reporting

• Complete monthly and quarterly corporate reporting requirements

• Prepare PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) returns

• Analyse and report Profit in Inventory (PII) variances

• Manage the month-end close process for a key operational site

• Prepare review files and financial submissions

• Conduct and present balance sheet reviews

• Prepare annual tax pack information

• Investigate financial variances and ensure data integrity

• Support and improve internal financial controls

• Communicate financial findings and recommendations to stakeholders

Requirements

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant

• Strong Excel skills are essential

• Experience within financial reporting and reconciliations

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders

• Knowledge of Oracle, Power BI or Power Query would be advantageous
