Description:

Providing financial support both to service directorates within NYC and to the new Mayoral Combined Authority.

Work will include introducing, developing and documenting financial processes and procedures in relation to debtors, creditors, balance sheet and bank reconciliations and year-end closedown.

Working closely with service managers, provide regular financial monitoring, undertake budget and financial planning work and support the managers in grant claim submissions.

Hybrid working - mainly from home but may be required to attend Northallerton / Harrogate offices

Requirements - Please do not submit your candidates if they do not meet the below:

Qualified Accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) Public sector experience preferable Experience of using Xero - Essential Working with minimum supervision and often taking the initiative, the role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong financial background
