They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join their dynamic team and support their financial operations.

Job Description: The accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of our design and build projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting within the construction industry and be proficient in relevant accounting software. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and cost accounting.

* Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

* Oversee project accounting, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting for design and build projects.

* Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.

* Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

* Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.

* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

* Collaborate with project managers and other departments to provide financial insights and support project planning and execution.

* Maintain and update accounting software with accurate financial data.

* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

* Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.

* Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.

* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, Procore, or similar).

* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
