We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Accountant to work with our client’s growing team at their office in the North West of England. A vital member of the finance team you will be entrusted to provide hands-on accurate and up to date financial records, leveraging your proven accounting experience you will embrace the daily challenges and tasks with utmost confidence and professionalism. Role Responsibilities:
* To accurately record all financial transactions and process invoices
* To maintain and ensure all financial records are reconciled and balanced, including ledgers, accounts payable and accounts receivable
* To generate financial reports and quarterly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner
* To accurately prepare and submit VAT returns
* To monitor all financial transactions and cash flow management
* To keep abreast of accounting principles, regulations, and software advances
* To collaborate with the wider team, maintaining a highly professional and confidential approach at all times
Skills you will need:
Essential:
* Proven experience in an accounting and/or bookkeeping role
* A strong and proven knowledge of accounting principles and concepts
* Proficient in the use of accountancy software including Xero or similar accounting software
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to collaborate effectively across the business
* Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail and excellent problem solving abilities
* Highly organised with the capacity prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
* Driven and adaptable with a willingness to learn and develop
* A professional, diligent and confidential approach to handling sensitive financial data
* Proficient IT skills
Desirable:
* AAT or equivalent qualification
* Knowledge and understanding of rural affairs and properties
