Description:
A 6 months + opportunity for an Accountant has arisen with the local authorities in Stoke on Trent.
Pay rate of £81.08 per hour PAYE, 37 hours per week, 9am till 5pm.
Job purpose:
To work as part of a developing commercially focused team to provide financial and commercial advice to a range of services and transformational projects across the Council.
Skills and experience:
Recognised CCAB qualification (preferably CIPFA), or Association of Accounting Technician qualified together with considerable post qualification experience in local government, covering the key financial processes of financial planning, budget preparation, budget monitoring and preparing final accounts.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret information, synthesise knowledge and reconcile different accounts.
