Accountant - Local Authority
Location: LE15 6HP
Start date: 21/04/2024
Contract duration: 6+ months
Working hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:30, 37 hours p/w
Pay rate: £20.47 per hour PAYE
Job purpose:
To provide accounting support to the Finance Team. This includes assisting with the coordination of preparation of budgets, budgetary control and the preparation of annual accounts.
Skills and experience:
Recognised CCAB qualification (preferably CIPFA), or Association of Accounting Technician qualified together with considerable post qualification experience in local government, covering the key financial processes of financial planning, budget preparation, budget monitoring and preparing final accounts.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret information, synthesise knowledge and reconcile different accounts.
