NXTGEN are in search of an enthusiastic and driven Accountant who is looking to join a small but thriving Chartered Accountants in Lowestoft. As the new Accountant you will be joining a firm which is known for their outstanding reputation in the local area, thanks to their exceptional client service, low staff turnover, and continual growth, but maintaining the friendly/ family feel. As an Accountant you will be responsible for managing or supporting on a portfolio of clients (dependant on experience), providing a wide range of general practice services including yearend Accounts & Tax preparation. You'll also play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring junior staff, contributing to their professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare year-end statutory returns for a broad range of clients
Assist with tax computations for SME clients
Provide monthly business performance insights to clients
Build new and existing relationships with clients
Manage client queries efficiently
Support junior trainees with foundational accounting tasks

We are looking for candidates who are either AAT qualified, pursuing their ACA/ACCA qualification or are QBE with previous experience in an accountancy firm. However, those with relevant experience and a background in general practice are also encouraged to apply given the flexibility of this role. Salary is dependant on experience.
