An established independent accountancy practice in Woking is looking for an experienced practice professional to take on a broad management role within its small team. Working directly with the Partners, you will have responsibility across client work, team supervision and the day-to-day running of the practice.
This is a hands-on position with plenty of variety, including accounts, personal tax and the opportunity to develop your experience with trusts. For someone looking to move into a more senior leadership position, it offers the chance to take on greater responsibility and play a key role in the firm's continued development.

Accountancy Practice Manager – About The Role
This role covers a broad range of responsibilities and would suit someone who enjoys being involved across the practice rather than focusing solely on their own client portfolio. You will oversee a small team, review work produced both internally and by the outsourced team, and maintain close relationships with clients and the Partners.
There is also scope to become involved in trust work and to help improve the way the practice operates as it continues to develop.
Key responsibilities:
Supervise and support a small team
Review accounts and work prepared by the outsourced team
Manage a portfolio of clients and handle day-to-day queries
Prepare and review personal tax returns
Gain exposure to trust work
Work closely with the Partners on practice management
Maintain quality across client work
Review and improve internal processes
Train and develop junior members of the team
Contribute to the continued development and growth of the practice
The successful candidate will have:
ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred, although QBE candidates will be considered
Previous accountancy practice experience
Strong accounts and personal tax knowledge
Experience reviewing accounts and other client work
Good client management and communication skills
Experience supervising or supporting junior team members
A hands-on approach and confidence taking ownership
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
An interest in developing knowledge of trusts
The ambition to progress into a more senior leadership role
