Job Description – Account Manager (Building Services)

Location: Head Office – Moorgate, London
Salary: £85,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Building Services team, based at our Head Office in Moorgate. This is a key client-facing role responsible for managing strategic accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and driving operational performance across a portfolio of commercial properties.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding of building services, with an electrical background preferred, although candidates with a mechanical background will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a portfolio of key client accounts, maintaining strong, long-term relationships.

* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring service levels are consistently achieved.

* Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.

* Work closely with engineering, operations, and support teams to ensure contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget.

* Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and contractual compliance, implementing improvements where required.

* Lead regular client meetings, producing reports and presenting operational performance.

* Identify opportunities for additional works and support business growth.

* Manage financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, and cost control.

* Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and company procedures.

* Support mobilisation of new contracts and continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (preferred).

* Candidates with a Level 3 Mechanical qualification and strong building services experience will also be considered.

* Demonstrable experience managing building services or FM contracts.

* Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.

* Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and contract performance.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

* Good understanding of statutory compliance and health & safety requirements.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAFM systems.

Desirable

* Experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management.

* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.

* Previous experience managing large corporate or critical environment contracts.
