A multi-billion dollar global manufacturing group requires an ambitious and experienced Automotive Account Manager to join their Fasteners Division.
 
BASIC SALARY: Excellent Basic Salary

JOB DESCRIPTION: Account Manager - Automotive, Plastic Fasteners
 
The role is to look after one of the company's major accounts and will require you to identify key opportunities with the client as well as nurturing and growing the relationship.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
As our Account Manager, you will:
· Take ownership of one of the company key accounts.
· Manage the commercial and technical sales activities for products in line with company strategy.
· Identify key opportunities with customers relating to core products.
· Nurture Customer relationships that provide insight and a landscape for competitive advantage.
· Work closely with Sales leadership and operations;
· Perform market analysis and project acquisition
· Attend customer review meetings when necessary
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Account Manager - Automotive, Plastic Fasteners
 
We would be delighted to receive applications from individuals who meet the following brief:
· Ideally qualified to at least HNC level in a Technical/Engineering discipline
· Ideally a proven track record of success of selling consumables into Automotive OEM's or Tier 1 suppliers, although we will also consider other market sectors
· A track record of success as an Account Manager dealing with a high value account
· We will also consider candidates who have an active interest in cars or automotive market, out of work, but are selling into a different market
· We will consider applicants who are looking for their first step into Account Management, but they must be from the Automotive sector
· Extensive project management leadership skills for coordination of technical projects using a multi-disciplined team approach
· Excellent negotiation and influencing skills across all levels
· Strong communication skills including the credibility to build, promote and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
· Strategic thinker with a strong capability to proactively identify risks and apply problem-solving skills with an innovative and flexible approach
