Account Manager

Fareham

A growing manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee a portfolio of key customer accounts and ensure they receive exceptional service. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, cross‑functional collaboration and building long‑term customer relationships.

The RoleAs the Account Manager, you’ll act as the primary interface for several strategic customers—managing communication, supporting ongoing projects, and ensuring operational requirements are met across materials, engineering and delivery. You’ll work closely with internal teams to keep plans on track, resolve issues quickly, and drive the repeat‑order process.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for defined customer accounts
Create and maintain plans to meet customer and business needs
Manage repeat orders and contract reviews, ensuring capacity and materials are aligned
Work with purchasing to secure materials on time for sales requirements
Support engineering during peak periods (e.g., loading/checking BOMs on the MRP system)
Expedite internal or customer issues impacting delivery or commitments
Promote additional services and generate quotations to existing customers
Collaborate across departments to address technical or operational problemsAbout YouEssential:

Previous experience in Account Management or customer service
Experience within Manufacturing
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Confident preparing and presenting data
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong planning and prioritisation abilitiesDesirable:

Understanding of CEM/electronics manufacturing
Knowledge of electronics production processes
