Description:

Our well-established manufacturing client are looking for an office-based Account Manager responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth. Acting as the primary point of contact for general industry customers, the role focuses on having a deep understanding of customer requirements and delivering solutions that meet both customer and business needs.

You will be working closely with Sales, Operations, Quality, Project Management and Finance teams, to coordinate effective solutions, resolve customer issues, and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling activities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers

Develop a thorough understanding of customer businesses, needs, and objectives

Serve as the primary point of contact for multiple general industry customer accounts and manage effectively

Grow existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling

Conduct regular customer reviews meetings

Manage customer expectations and ensure high levels of satisfaction

Resolve commercial issues and support long-term customer retention

Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing customer base

Drive account growth whist maintaining customer retention

Develop a deep understanding of customers projects and specific requirements

Work with customers to deliver manufacturing and commercial solutions that add value and strengthen working partnerships and deliver profit

Monitor customer trends and identify improvement opportunities

Prepare pricing proposals and quotations for new and existing customers

Acting with self-direction by using internal systems, historical data and working collaboratively with internal teams to issue commercial proposals

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements.

Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitor activity.

Fully understand customer requirements and demand to accurately forecast sales figures.

Identify new markets and sales opportunities

Coordinate closely with internal departments, including, Operations, Quality, Project Management to ensure customer requirements can be delivered profitably

Take ownership of customer queries and challenges efficiently and professionally, ensuring successful resolution.

Think creatively and provide practical solutions that meet customer and business needs.

Working autonomously to problem solve

Support project launches and new product introductionsKey Skills

Proven experience in Account Management, Sales, Customer Service, or Client Relationship Management within the manufacturing sector.

Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.

Excellent negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to think creatively and develop effective customer solutions.

Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.

Proficient in MS Office.

This is predominantly an office-based role although as the role progresses there may be the opportunity for hybrid working.  There is genuine progression within the company for the successful candidate.  Travel will be required to visit customers and attend industry events. Own car essential
