Accessories Designer
Based in London - Hybrid role (4 days in office, 1 day wfh)
Perm / full time
A leading high street supplier is looking for an experienced Accessories Designer to join their team. Experience in accessories design is essential. We are looking for an Accessories Designer who is passionate about fashion and design, always striving to deliver innovation and newness with a great eye for trends as well as commercial product.
Role:
* Sole responsibility for designing and developing women's accessories on selected accounts.
* Making presentations to customers on new season trends.
* Attending customer meetings and designing to customer briefs.
* Preparing Design Packs for manufacturers.
* Regular development trips to the Far East, compshops and Trade shows.
* Liaising with our account managers and technologist to ensure products are developed to meet customers’ quality and price requirements.
* Overseeing the work of junior members of the design team.
Skills:
* Passionate about design and fashion.
* Able to identify emerging trends and interpret them for commercial product ranges.
* Enthusiastic and friendly.
* Able to work to a critical path and work well under pressure.
* Experience working with European and Far East factories/suppliers.
* Organised and used to a fast-paced environment.
* Strong CAD skills - confident on Illustrator/Photoshop.
* Applicants should have a degree in design
* Hard accessories or jewellery experience ideal but not essential.
