Academic Teaching Assistant - South East London
Full-Time | 8:30am-4:00pm | Start ASAP
Remedy Education are looking for a strong, highly academic Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a mainstream secondary school in South East London.
This role would suit someone who is confident academically and particularly strong in English and Maths. You will be supporting secondary-aged pupils with their learning and helping them stay focused and engaged throughout the school day.
The role will involve:
Supporting pupils across the secondary curriculum
Providing 1:1 and small-group academic support
Helping pupils with English and Maths
Supporting classroom learning and interventions
Encouraging pupils to stay focused and engaged
Working alongside teachers to support pupil progress
Helping pupils build confidence and independence
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong academic ability, particularly in English and Maths
Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
Previous Teaching Assistant or education experience
Excellent communication skills
A confident and professional approach
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
